On Wednesday September 28th the Mayo Suicide Prevention Alliance hosted a workshop on current developments & initiatives on Suicide Prevention & Post-vention in Mayo. The presentations on the day included:

Supporting individuals & families bereaved by suicide

Peadar Gardiner, Mindspace Mayo
A support service to promote young people’s (aged 15 – 25 yrs.) mental health & wellbeing

Maura Horkan, The Flourish Project
Linking adults with hobbies and interests to enhance wellbeing

Marina Tuffy, The Eden Programme
Support for people who have suicidal thoughts or have attempted suicide

Pippa Daniel, Mayo Travellers Support Group
Mental health and wellbeing in the Travelling Community

Donal Hoban, Mayo Recovery College
Where adult education serves mental health and recovery
