North Mayo Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service working with Children / Adolescents with a moderate to severe mental health difficulty aged 17 years and under. Camhs also works with children and adolescents who have moderate – severe intellectual disabilities and mental illness. Referrals are accetped from family doctors,paediatricians,medical and orther consultants and PCCC psychologists in conjunctionn with medical professionals. Multi-disciplinary community-based specialist service. Referrals made via the GP for young people up to 16 Years who are experiencing mental health difficulties and require psychiatric assessment.
County-wide primary care service for children and adolescents under 18 years. Individual assessment and intervention,training for parents,community groups and other health professionals.
The A&E of Mayo General Hospital provides a 24 hour Psychiatrist and Consultant Psychiatrist on call. Two advanced clinical nurse practitioners work office hours,Monday-Friday.
